Designed and manufactured by Super Rat Machine Works, 2005. This BMX stem features cut outs beneath the upper and lower pinch bolts, which fits a removable gyro plate and saves weight.

how does the plate not wiggle around. i understand how it fits in there but what keeps it from moving slightly

I believe the tightening of the top cap will put enough pressure on the gyro plate to keep it from moving… that and the plate fits in there pretty tight the way it is. Stem is super trick, I’m a huge fan of the super rat crew!
