Equipment arrives

well, the HAAS has gotten here and into the shop with little incident. i really am surprised, there was only about 6 inches of clearance between the machine and the roof of the cave! and once it was on the dock there may have been about 1 inch of clearance to get the thing in the door!
all said it went well. the guys at haggard hauling were great. they helped get the thing in the door and off the crooked ol’ dock. the night before i had dreams of lifting the machine with the pallet jack and it taking off on us, right over the edge. needless to say i didn’t sleep much that night.
once in the shop it needed to put some lights up, 6ft ladder and 14ft ceilingsdidn’t work out so well. so i built a ladder platform (that will double as the workbench for the mill!) it looks questionable but it was the best rig i’ve used yet!
a few more items still need to be hooked up before the official install on monday morning! (which feels like a year away!)
till then it’s courtney’s birthday!!! and we’re going to the zoo…
