primarily our work is in aluminum. and it’s nice to change things up. these dropouts, made of good ol’ 4130 chromoly, are for todd over at black cat bicycles.
he makes handmade bicycle frames, utilizing this dropout design of his and subtle mods such as the ever so sightly radiused toptube on this bike which result in these wonderful examples of craftsmanship.
these are some pics of the process of making them for a peek at the drops on a finished frame have a look at his blog- http://www.blackcatbicycles.com/

Wow! I have hunted down in my opinion the “ultimate” drop-out configuration, which due to the brilliant design allows for a very versatile set-up. . .

Would you be able to supply a pair of these with a mech hanger, and if poss M5 threaded holes for carriers/mudguard-eyes?

Either way i am very interested, as i am hoping to have an 853 Reynoldsa 26″ mountain bike frame made up locally and would love a pair of these drop-outs.

    Regards

    Andy

These dropouts are indeed sweet. I’ve built 2 frames with them, and I’m about to build 2 more. Plus, Phil is a great guy and a whiz in the shop.
